Client Description: Traditional Accounting/Tax/Audit Firm (60mm+ Annual Collections) They offer a broad range of services including external auditing, accounting, income tax, consulting, internal auditing, and management advisory services


Classification: Exempt/Full Time


Title: CPA - Tax Associate


Compensation: $55,000 – 70,000 + base DOE


Position Description: Our Client is looking for a Tax Associate for their San Antonio, Texas office. This position requires a steady, accurate, analytical worker who can complete a project on time, every time. The right candidate will have a desire to achieve goals while also being accountable and will thrive in a professional work environment. They will be willing to cooperate with everyone, while also being supportive and helpful as a team member.


Required Knowledge,

Experience and Skills: CPA required


     Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field


                 2+ years tax preparation experience preferred


     Lacerte and CCH, XCM, and Engagement experiences a plus


                 Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills


     Solid understanding of accounting and tax principles


     In-depth knowledge of accounting processes


     Outstanding written and communication skills

 

Tax Associate Responsibilities:

Prepare federal and state tax returns for partnerships, C corporations, S corporations and individuals

Identifies and communicates issues raised and can recommend solutions

Obtains and compiles tax documentation ensuring conclusions are well-documented

Research tax rules and regulations and document conclusion.

Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with the client

Provide exceptional service to every client by providing individual attention, responsiveness, and commitment to understanding their end objectives

Ensures adherence at all times to all applicable company and professional standards

Assess and research difficult tax issues to identify solutions

Keep up to date on industry trends and changes related to taxes
